Abstract:
This article presents a foundational approach to drive theory in working dogs based on more than a decade of applied research (2011–2024). The study proposes a modern evaluation system for identifying, measuring, and optimizing drive-based behaviors in working dogs. Through field observations, cognitive testing, and sport dog performance analysis, this framework introduces quantifiable indicators of emotional arousal, motivational patterns, and performance regulation. The model supports future research in training methodologies, behavioral neuroscience, and canine performance psychology.
